Day of Bhishma Nirvana & Indian History

Highlight of my upcoming book – ‘Bhishma Nirvana’ is to decisively falsify the following erroneous beliefs about the day of Bhishma Nirvana, circulated in religious, secular, academic and other discourses.

Specifically, the book, relying on only internal but exhaustive evidence of the Mahabharata text, will show how it is impossible to corroborate any of the following…

(1) Bhishma was lying on the bed of arrows for only 58 nights.

(2) Bhishma passed away on Magha Shudda Ashtami (Magha Shudda 8) and this day of Magha Shudda 8 coincided with the day of Winter solstice

(3) That Mahabharata War happened anytime after 4000 BCE!

Stay tuned….
