The above statement is careless and made casually, without realizing the importance of specific references related to Bhishma Nirvana.
While I have a book in the works on this very topic of ‘Bhishma Nirvana’ and 23+ specific astronomy and chronology references from the Mahabharata text indeed lead one, decisively, to the conclusion that Mahabharata War is NOT POSSIBLE anytime after 4000 BCE; a serious and curious student of Indian history can learn a lot by reading few relevant pages of my ‘Mahabharata War’ book.
(And don’t forget AV observations which puts a lower limit of 4508 BCE for the timing of Mahabharata War).
